Our brand derives its name from the tradition of the golf rota, a circuit of prestigious courses hosting the Open Championship. When thinking of our name, we wanted to give every golfer an opportunity to come up with their own personal rota within the Top 100.?Rota Golf couldn’t have been more of a perfect fit for the message we wanted to send. Our flagship product is The Centurion Map, a wood engraved masterpiece of the United States showcasing The Top 100 Public Golf Courses. Each custom piece is crafted with a free of charge option to personalize, stain and frame, making it your own and to inspire golfers to embark on their bucket list adventures, set goals, and elevate their game!? My husband Chris Shreeve and I came up with the idea to turn Rota Golf into a business after we wanted to find a golf statement piece for his office during our remodel. It started as just something special for him to track his rounds at the Top 100, however after countless golfers at our home course, Canterwood Golf and Country Club, said that they wanted one, we decided to give the people what they wanted! Starting a venture from scratch with your life partner can be scary but I am lucky to say that for us it’s been an incredible experience. We've encountered challenges, made mistakes, and learned invaluable lessons along the way. But through it all, our commitment to delivering excellence and creating a community of passionate golfers has remained unwavering. Couldn't agree more Daniel. I spoke a lot about this in the hospitality industry and now in the golf business. It's a thread decision makers need to pull around understanding their customers and their needs. Some large companies are now requiring executives and managers to work in customer service for a portion of their time, and I think it's a great idea. When you put a face to the customer, hear their needs first-hand and develop empathy for them, you can better lead your business towards User Centered principles that drive value for the customer, and thus grow the business. If your customers are there to have fun, make your venue more fun! Don't just guess at these changes though. Played across four continents, 216 courses, 313 rounds, and with more than 13,000 players, the World Golf Competition is the world’s most luxurious amateur golfing contest and a world first. In a sign that sport-related travel is in full swing, Corporate Traveller data has shown that sport-related travel bookings around and out of Australia were up 89 per cent in 2023, compared with 2022. The World Golf Competition will further bolster that growth with an anticipated 5,500 travel bookings for corporate operational staff and players as the 2025 competition gets underway.
