All the things we want to accomplish in healthcare happen when we choose a more complete science.

Every healthcare and wellness industry leader wants to solve burnout, moral injury, and suicide (let's say the word, because we doctors in the U.S. are killing ourselves at twice the rate of the general population). Leaders also want to solve problems of care access, cost, and quality. But HOW? Why do these problems seem so intractable? Because we are too afraid to look at the incompleteness of our science. Leaders believe the problem is a business problem and good business practices will solve it. No–this is a knowledge problem. If we solve it with business, we will have only met the same low bar our competitors are using. Let us step out of the game. Let us arouse from our slumber and raise the bar for healthcare and wellness as we evolve to become the true health system we all deserve, based in a science of consciousness that includes the atomic model of anatomy, rather than a science of mechanization that cannot understand what is most fundamental to human existence and healing. Fast-forward five years, and our commitment has not only persisted but intensified. Today, Speetar serves nearly 3 million beneficiaries, over two-thirds of whom are women and children. We've facilitated over 350,000 hybrid-care deliveries and connected a network of more than 2,500 medical providers globally. Our platform proudly reports a 73% retention rate and an astounding 89% quarterly growth in our user base. But our mission expanded beyond service provision. Through our spinoff, Academia we've embarked on local capacity building, training over 26,000 healthcare workers—doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, dieticians and more. Many of these dedicated professionals would not have had the opportunity to obtain their training otherwise, playing a crucial role in crafting resilient future healthcare systems. The journey has been filled with ups and downs, yet every challenge has only strengthened our resolve. Proximity to the challenges we tackle is crucial; while innovations can be replicated, their impact cannot. Choosing to focus on rebuilding an innovative care system, particularly post-conflict and with the growing Libyan medical brain drain, has not been an easy path. One of our favorite things about being in the clinical research industry is learning about the healthcare innovations happening through clinical trials. Some of our team members are out this week to learn what's on the horizon and how healthcare might advance in the upcoming months and years. Last week in sunny San Diego, I had the privilege of joining a remarkable group of patient advocates, healthcare leaders, and industry professionals at the Chief Patient Officer West conference. This gathering was more than just a meeting—it was a powerful reminder of the impact we can have when we come together to prioritize what truly matters: the patient experience. Throughout the conference, we shared ideas, strategies, and stories, brainstorming how the industry can align its business goals with meaningful patient support programs. From innovative ways to amplify patient voices to creating holistic systems of care that truly center around the individual, the energy in the room was nothing short of transformational. One of the key takeaways for me was the importance of listening deeply—to patients, caregivers, and advocates—and using that insight to drive real change. It’s clear that putting patients at the heart of our mission is not just the right thing to do; it’s also the path to sustainable growth and impactful innovation.
