Keith Haring’s career may have been brief, spanning a mere ten years between his departure from art school and his untimely death. Throughout his all-too-brief career, Haring maintained an unparalleled dedication to young people, advocating for their health and rights while also supporting their creative development. Included in Keith Haring: A Radiant Legacy is a YAB community youth partnership featuring the work of three local youth artists commissioned to create a Haring-inspired piece. These three artworks that greet visitors as they enter the exhibition were created by Yuran He, Maya Park-Weber, and Abby Heustess. With this collaboration, MOPOP’s YAB (Youth Advisory Board) has amplified young voices, built community by curating local youth artists for the exhibition, and fostered a safe space for true creative expression. ??
