Moreover, Karen Bass and Gavin Newsom are now running to Congress demanding resources to clean up their environmental disaster. Everyone deserve having safe drinking water! Today at the 2024 Arkansas Water Conference, I gave a talk on the situation and potential solutions to the unsafe drinking water crisis in world based on my personal experience and understanding. There are still about 2 billion people who do not have safe drinking water worldwide and 1.5 million people dying directly from drinking unsafe water every year. When waterways are polluted with salt in the winter, it’s usually obvious where the problem is coming from: excessive use of de-icers on roadways and parking lots. When volunteers continue finding chloride contamination in the spring, they have to do more detective work.
