I am really enjoying the thought process of this. Regardless of title or current role . Walking into a team doesn't always mean immediate results. Like studying for a test but yet your observations of the current situation/goals, gives you time to collaboratively add too or critique what your teammates are/have brought to the table. We go our whole life's to educate ourselves in hopes to add our talents and ideas to create a better solution to problems. The sound of silence can be very educational if you are truly engaged. The key is the tone at the top, being able to see disengagedment vs observations that can turn good things into extraordinary results.

Dont show up to prove. Show up to improve. This is indeed powerful. The question is on how do we manage the unavoidable expectations of the new employer especially for the junior employees?!
