The reason why faculty buy-in is so important and essential for fostering a collaborative and holistic approach to career readiness, where academic and professional development goals are aligned to support student success in the workforce. Professional career consultants undergo rigorous preparation and training to understand the complexities of career and professional development and to provide evidence-based guidance and support to individuals navigating their career paths. It is not an easy job and even harder without faculty support! #career #careerreadiness #careereducation #professional #studentsuccess #studentsfirst
Roughly two-thirds of faculty respondents to a recent survey conducted by NACE, American Association of Colleges and Universities, and Society for Experiential Education said undergraduates ask them about jobs in their major, and more than half of respondents also said students also ask about graduate school and internships, highlighting the important role that faculty play in career readiness for students. https://ow.ly/IqpT50RqPRk

Why bother going to college every day? The answer might surprise you! Today is the first day of my second year in college, and I swear the first-year Riya can never match the energy and confidence of second-year Riya. The difference is significant in just one year. You cannot deny that in college, you must work on yourself for skills and overall development. You are responsible for everything from your success to failure. Benefits of Attending College: 1. Personal Development: - Feel a spark of confidence when interacting with people. - Listening to different opinions can make a significant difference. 2. Socialization: - Connect with as many people as possible, but aim for genuine connections. 3. Skill Acquisition: - Learn small skills that will ultimately help you manage your expenses + also help you when you sit for internship interviews. 4. College Societies: - Join societies to gain exposure on a larger scale and enhance your personality. Ultimately, stepping out of your comfort zone is essential to achieve something meaningful. Your personality, the way you talk and listen, forms the first impression. So, focus on developing your basic skills first. P.S.: What is a major challenge in your college life?
