Brands do lots of things, but one thing all great brands should do is work hard to be culturally relevant. This is another example – plant-based food and dairy alternatives being others – where the cultural and behavioural change was already happening, but it needed a challenger brand to accelerate the segment or category from niche to mainstream. I just wanted to finish the week with this. It has nothing to do with the internal work we're doing at Done Properly but I wanted to highlight it anyway because this is one of the clearest examples of how an internal culture decision affects the end consumer's perception. Often in the development path of Raise, we were asked why we didn't go to all the other breweries in Chile or the world to scale the project. Although the answer was always based on commercial and technical data, there are moments where decisions are also based on softer things, like the vision of the company and how that permeates throughout the organization. With AB InBev, we want the same thing and our organizations work with a common goal: Make the food industry more sustainable. We have differences in scale and work methodologies, but I am sure that if any Done Properly employee sits at a table with an AB InBev employee, they will talk about the same sustainability aspirations. As co-branded marketing continues to thrive in both Chinese and global markets, Oreo, a popular snack brand, plans to allocate more resources to appeal to young consumers, staying aligned with the fast-changing consumer trends in China, according to a statement released by its parent company Mondelez International Inc, the United States-based multinational corporation. Oreo and Coca-Cola announced in mid-August that they have created two exclusive and limited-edition products – the Oreo-Coca-Cola sandwich cookie and Coca-Cola-Oreo zero sugar drink limited editions. Nutella has become a much bigger brand than Ferrero itself, it has become a synonym of chocolate spread and despite the number of companies trying to get a slice of the cake, the unhealthy claims, the brand is untouchable. Only yesterday I saw an advert of a new product for a competitor claiming "45% of nuts and very few other ingredients" called chocolate spread. Will it work? Don't think so.
