Kyle Thomas Spane was happy to the core. His love for life radiated outward, imbuing the people around him with vitality and cheeriness. It was this unshakable positivity — with his deep devotion to family, friends and dedication to finding joy in everyday things, that defined the way he lived, even as he was diagnosed with metastatic colon cancer and went through treatment. When he died from the disease in the summer of 2024, Spane’s loved ones rallied to build a legacy of hope in his honor, inspired by his unyielding spirit. Through everything — his prognosis, the chemotherapy and targeted drug therapy — Spane held firm to three core beliefs. First, the people in his life meant the world to him, giving him strength and purpose throughout his treatment. Second, he loved his care team at Fred Hutch Cancer Center, often saying, “If I could give all of my money to Fred Hutch, I would.” And third, he wanted to ensure that no other family had to endure the hardships of cancer. Please see the link in bio or below to read more about Kyle and his legacy, one that inspired his family and friends to raise funds to establish the Kyle Thomas Spane Endowed Chair. Once funding is completed, this permanent resource for a faculty member at Fred Hutch will focus on colon cancer prevention, early detection and emerging research opportunities. https://bit.ly/3ZrcKDI #coloncancer #endcancer #fredhutch #cancerscreening #cancerprevention #earlydetection

Meet the Changemakers behind Nobody Fights Alone, a programme that embodies hope, and the power of community. In Sri Lanka, over 2,500 people are diagnosed with breast cancer each year, and Bodyline recognises the critical importance of early detection and compassionate care. Since 2021, the Nobody Fights Alone Cancer Programme has empowered over 9,500 women in our workforce with the knowledge to detect symptoms early, while actively supporting survivors during their recovery journey. By donating over 30 mastectomy bras every month to Apeksha Hospital and providing vital support to low-income families, we are helping women regain their confidence and comfort when they need it most. Here’s to the Changemakers who prove that together, nobody fights alone. #NobodyFightsAlone #BreastCancerAwareness #CervicalCancer #CancerAwareness #EarlyDetection #Prevention #MastectomyBras #Changemakers #MASPlanForChange #EmpoweredWomen #LivesChangedForGood

At FCTG, giving back is at the core of who we are. Recently, we teamed up with Roc Solid Foundation to build a swing set for a courageous child battling cancer. Thank you to Jordan Frasier for leading the charge and every volunteer from FCTG, AIFP and Buckeye Pacific, LLC who made this unforgettable moment possible! #teamwork #rocsolidfoundation #community ?

Talking about growing, Movember has grown brilliantly over the years to take in both physical and mental health issues in men—naturally so, as the two are surely linked. Such a fantastic cause to get behind, not least in the way they—and other similar organisations— have helped men talk about their issues more openly. And on that note, if you're a bloke, who needs some help or know someone who does, but not quite able to call upon a mate or loved one just yet, here's a list of some useful links (definitely not exhaustive): #ANDYSMANCLUB - https://lnkd.in/eH4kiRFr HeadsUpGuys - https://lnkd.in/eZv8vCbc Movember - https://lnkd.in/eBT6R6Gr ShawMind - https://lnkd.in/erfCTkXb Man Therapy? - https://mantherapy.org/ Prostate Cancer UK - https://lnkd.in/eRWpzJ74 And of course, our wonderful clients at Zero Suicide Alliance - https://lnkd.in/ey8xMQ6f I'll have no-doubt missed plenty out, so if you know of any other helpful organisations, please shout up. :) Best of luck to the growers and runners Dynamic Business Services and other organisations supporting similar causes, this month. ?? #Movember #MensHealth #MentalHealthAwareness
You'll find even more mo-tivated people than usual amongst the Dynamic crew, this month; all in support of a great cause. Movember raises awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men's suicide. And as you can see, there's all sort of ways to get involved, so what are you waiting for ... let's Mo for it! We appreciate any and every donation, no matter the size. Head over to our Movember page if you would like to support: https://lnkd.in/eg5xTa5g #MensMentalHealth #Growamo #Running #Movember #MentalHealthMatters #SuicidePrevention

Signs to Watch For: - Persistent pain or swelling - A new lump or growth - Unexplained weight loss Together, we can make a difference. Every post, every donation, every conversation brings us closer to a cure. Let's make this month count! ?? #SarcomaAwareness #FightSarcoma #CancerAwareness #SupportTheFighters

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month to raise awareness of childhood cancers and how childhood cancer affects families. For this year, A Month of Movement aims to encourage you to move more for the month of September and raise vital funds for research into children’s cancers as you go. Move an extra 30 minutes for 30 days with your children this month. I know school has started but that is all the more reason to move more with your children. You can do 30 minutes at once, break it up into two 15-minute activities or three 10-minute activities. This will be good for you AND good for your children! What are some easy ways that you can get your family to move this month? Write your ideas in the comments. #childhoodcancerawareness #amonthofmovement
