To unlock Zymomonas mobilis' capacity for efficient #biofuel production, researchers utilized Biolog, Inc.'s Phenotype MicroArray (PM) plates and the OmniLog to implement a high-quality genome-scale metabolic model, facilitating the strategic optimization of its use as a bioreactor. Biolog’s PM plates provided crucial live-cell substrate utilization profiles that significantly improved the accuracy and predictiveness of their in-silico model.
