Kelly Farhangi Najafi and I are thrilled to announce that we’ve been invited to speak at Book Passage in Corte Madera to present our book, “7 Commandments to Save the Planet”, to a wonderful audience in Marin County, California. At this event, we’ll share insights from 20+ years of environmental advocacy and discuss the driving force behind writing our book. We’ll explore how these seven commandments can play a crucial role in reversing the environmental degradation we face today by embracing the concept of a circular economy. Our message is simple: Life is full of circles—day in, day out, month in, month out, people, animal, planet die and become part of nature, earth coexist with circular events. Yet the linear economy of “take, make, and discard” no longer works. It’s time to rethink, redesign, and adopt circular solutions to reduce waste and protect our planet. "What next?" Launching a report is always the start, not the end of a process. It was a privilege to be at the launch of the #Sustainable #Plastics #Policy Commission report today (link below) with Baroness Meacher, outlining the findings and recommendations of the report. One of the first questions from the audience was "what next?". How will we follow up on the recommendations? Engaging stakeholders is key, and WRAP will be at #INC4 for the #GlobalPlasticsTreaty in April raising many of the issues covered in the report, as well as continuing to deliver change with the members of the #UKPlasticsPact. We look forward to continuing to engage with the members of the ?#BirminghamPlasticsNetwork? to reimagine the?#plastics?system.
