Phase 5: MAX-imizing-QDA Following an insightful focus group session, we engaged students in an interactive discussion about their experiences and ideas for improving their career prospects. Through thought-provoking questions, engaging activities and qualitative methods, we gained a better understanding of the challenges students face in networking events and identified actionable opportunities to make these experiences more effective. After the session, our team transcribed and analyzed responses using MAXQDA, a powerful qualitative data analysis software that helped us organize, code, and analyze qualitative data, facilitating the extraction of meaningful themes and patterns from participants' feedback. With the help of MAXQDA, we identified SIX key themes to guide the next steps of our research. - Themes describing students expectations vs. achievements. - Themes describing preferences for In-Person over Online networking events. - Themes exploring promotion channels and event discovery methods. - Themes describing logistical considerations for event participation. - Themes exploring key drivers of student engagement in networking events. - Themes describing barriers to effective engagement and connection. Now that the final phase of our qualitative research is complete, we are excited about the findings! #research #marketing #qualitativeresearch #MAXQDA
