Keep working on your resume and LinkedIn profile. For all the job seekers please keep up the pace and keep on applying for the jobs. Don't get scared of rejections. You need one YES for you to land your dream job ???? So, it is is OKAY if you failed an interview. It is OKAY if you failed another one. It is OKAY even if you fail multiple of them. It is okay if you get rejection mails ?? But it is NOT OKAY if you give up. Accept rejections as lessons and start focusing on your next win. Just know there are people out there who likely most applied countless times until they landed their dream job. If they can do it, YOU CAN DO IT TOO ?? ?? Avoid the easy button when it comes to applying for your next position. Have you seen the posts of people applying for hundreds of jobs? Are you someone who has applied for hundreds of jobs with no results? When companies post jobs on multiple sites they often neglect to update the status of the job on each of the sites. This leaves a job posting where candidates may apply, without anybody reviewing the resumes. This can be frustrating and can lead to your application not being reviewed. A simple step that can help you avoid this is to go directly to the company's website and apply for the job directly on their site. Here are a few advantages this can provide you: 1. Learn who the contact is, or identify an email for follow up. 2. You can verify if the position is listed on the company's site to help determine if the position is still available. 3. Applying directly on the site will send your application directly to the company's hiring group. 4. "Most" candidates apply on sites like LinkedIn, Indeed, and others, so applying directly on the site may help get your resume viewed sooner. 5. After you apply, use the email or contact information to follow up and express your interest in the position. Avoid the "easy buttons" and look for positions on company websites and use these to help find positions that are actively hiring.

However, this week alone, I've had 8 meetings, none of which revolved around a "job order" in the traditional sense. Here’s some topics/thoughts I see discussed recently. ?? Here are the 5 dumbest reasons not to hire someone. 1. They don't have a degree. Let's face it, many jobs do not truly require a degree to be successful, nor does the degree actually prepare them for the work. Besides, a degree isn't a good indicator of your contribution to an employer. 2. They were laid off I've heard multiple senior "leaders" suggest that laid-off people are damaged goods. Rolling my eyes. 3. They had a job gap IDK, maybe it's none of your business that they had a sick parent or decided to start a family? 4. They lack direct industry experience. Yeah, and give them the job, and now they will have now worked in that industry. This is the most overrated "criteria" I've encountered. 5. They don't have the exact background we're looking for. Guess what? Nobody does. Try hiring for potential just once, and let's see what happens. The hiring process is hard enough; let's not make it more difficult than it needs to be. What's on your list?
