Why model what you can measure? ?? With Connected Vehicle data, you can measure vehicle trajectory to see how long it takes to cross a path. This helps to identify split failures and understand downstream blockage and back-of-queue congestion. ??? You can also use vehicle-generated data to understand driver behaviour at the source, speeds, g-forces, and travel time, helping with various use cases, including road safety and asset management. Darcy Bullock from Purdue University and Compass IoT ran a session about Connected Vehicle data, sharing these insights with UK transport organisations.
