As the second official Annual General Meeting of the Cleves Sport Group approaches, we can't help but reflect on the whirlwind journey which has brought us to this point. What started as a simple idea - to get some washed up athletes back together to scratch that competitive itch - has grown into a fully-fledged community. Cleves now spans multiple sports across myriad leagues, but what continues to define us (and unite us) are our core values: Community, Leadership, Energy, Veracity, and Empathy. CLEVE. Undoubtedly, there have been bumps along the way; and undoubtedly there will be several more to come. However, when we look out and see the collection of incredible individuals who now proudly call themselves Cleves, we are more confident than ever that our organization will continue going from strength to strength. We may have gotten the ball rolling, but the idea of Cleves has taken hold, and it is now a self-sustaining enterprise. And we could not be more proud. The University of Montana Western Rodeo Team hosted its 54th Annual Montana Western Rodeo Banquet last month. The rodeo banquet is the primary fundraising event for student scholarships, facilitating essential practice opportunities, offsetting travel expenses, covering hotel accommodations, and supporting the Montana Western College rodeo in the fall. This year at the event, UMW Rodeo paid tribute to the enduring legacy of Benny and Rooster Reynolds, two of Dillon's most iconic rodeo heroes. Is this really true ?? Another perspective :) We all have headed the story of a race between rabbit and tortoise . In the race tortoise wins and rabbit loose. But when you watched the video it looks that nor rabbit is racing against the Tortoise nor Tortoise was playing to win the race. If you watch closely Tortorise didn't stop and kept moving since he is not aware about the finish line not the rabbit that I had to reach at the finish line. It is just we put them to race to validate our assumption about the story which is been told to us. Both were behaving according to their nature and enjoy their own company. Rabbit: Nature is nimble and agile and he is living every moment and not worried about anything. Tortoise: Kept moving not worried about anything because of his bulk and heaviness can't move in any direction. What I understood after watching the video 1. Don't let other define you. 2. Don't choose to be a rabbit or a tortoise. but be at your best. 3. Enjoy the process instead of thinking about winning or loosing. 4. Don't compare since every one is different. 5. Before the biggest game in Savannah Bananas history at Nationals Park, I spoke to our group of 200+ people about the importance of doing more than just their job and how that is always been the Fans First way. I shared how the reason we are where we are today is because of that little extra and how are job is always bigger than just our job. I've been so inspired by watching everyone on our team from interns to my wife Emily Cole with how our people have always found a way to go out of their way for our fans and their teammates. With this now being our third MLB stadium and the expectations continuing to rise, I wanted our team know that giving that little extra was more important now than ever. Later that night after one of our most magical shows and experiences, our entire team and front office met and shared so many stories, shout outs and fans first moments that they created. I'm proud to say that their "little extra" shined bright at the Nation's Capital and for the 42,000 fans that went Bananas with us at Nationals Park.
