The Community Empowerment Act supports people to make a formal request to address identified local issues, through a Participation Request. This session will look at what a Participation Request is, how you can support people to make such a request, what to expect from the process and how you can relate this to an issue about Self Directed Support Scotland implementation. The best way to improve community engagement is to allow communities to share and develop their own ideas. We’re excited that applications have now opened to London Engagement Collaborative (LEC) members for the Good Ideas Fund. This funding will enable communities to work together to advance an existing project, kickstart a new idea, or find ways to drive greater community engagement. We can’t wait to see the innovative ideas that come out of this initiative, and for the insights they provide the community engagement sector.
