Friends, after delivering a program from our studio ?? ?? , I often have this need to delve further into a topic that was discussed with some participants during their immersion. We have decided to capture those moments and post them. This one is on our BRAIN RESISTANCE TO CHANGE ?? ? ?? . If you want to dig in on this topic – and more broadly on how neuroplasticity works, I recommend the book Livewired, by David Eagleman. The fact is: improving people's leadership skills is a good thing, but it will take much more than traditional leadership development to steer humanity through radical complexity. This is what we are now addressing with our continuing program for top executives and high potentials "Leading Through Radical Complexity", which you can discover on our website: https://lnkd.in/evykEwdB #insiderisk #radicalcomplexity #criticalthinking #leadershipdevelopment

Embracing Change: A Journey Against Our Brain's Resistance Change is a constant in our professional lives, yet our brains are naturally wired to resist it. This resistance isn't just psychological. It's deeply rooted in our biology. The brain perceives change as a potential threat, triggering a fight-or-flight response. But in today's fast-paced world, adapting to change is crucial. So, how do we overcome this resistance? 1. Awareness: Recognize that resistance is a natural response. 2. Mindfulness: Practice techniques to calm the mind, reducing the fear response. 3. Incremental Steps: Break changes into smaller, manageable steps to avoid overwhelming the brain. 4. Support Systems: Leverage peer support and mentorship to navigate transitions. Embracing change requires patience and persistence. By understanding and working with our brain’s natural tendencies, we can foster growth and innovation. How do you tackle change in your professional journey? Share your strategies below in the comments. #ChangeManagement #ProfessionalDevelopment #PersonalglGrowth eVULX InsideRisk

This is a great conversation - and insight - into how busy people manage to find the time to work on (and not in) their business. And the irony here is we all know that's how we should be leading for success. If I had a dollar for every flat chat CEO, MD, business founder or senior executive who told me that they'd struggle find the time, I'd have $17.50 No, seriously, everyone is busy and we're all doing more with less. But somehow the members in my Vistage Australia and New Zealand Brisbane groups do manage to carve out the time to come together, learn together and deal with the issues that arise daily in business. Importantly, they have those conversations that you just can't easily have anywhere else. This member sums it up nicely with two observations: 1. We have woven Vistage into our culture. 2. We've seen the success of Vistage. Both of those are very tangible returns. Let's have a chat about how Vistage membership can deliver for you, your team, your family and your customers. We have limited spots in my Vistage CE/Business owner and small business groups right now. The longest journey starts with a single step. Come join us. #brisbanebusiness #queenslandbusiness #peeradvisory #vistage

Think about the amount of time you spend surrounded by people who don’t understand what it’s really like to run a business - how many times do you hold in your fears, hopes, excitement? Think about just carving out one day a month to be with peers who get it, who support you, who challenge you! It’s the best day of the month when you can be with your Vistage group. That’s the power of the meeting day and the power of peers. #powerofpeers #vistage
