Today is World Suicide Prevention day, a time to reflect, support, and spread awareness about a reality that affects far too many of us. As someone who lost a good friend to suicide, the weight of this topic is personal. The pain, the unanswered questions, and the longing to have been able to do more are emotions I carry with me every day. As a parent and someone who supports students in their journeys, I know the importance of fostering open conversations, checking in on those around us, and ensuring that no one feels like they have to navigate life's challenges alone. It’s crucial to remind ourselves that mental health is as important as physical health, and we must prioritize it, not just for ourselves, but for the people we care about. To anyone struggling in silence: You matter. Your feelings are valid. And help is always available—please don't hesitate to reach out. Let’s use this month to listen more, share more, and, most importantly, be there for one another. #SuicidePrevention #MentalHealthMatters #YouAreNotAlone #BreakTheSilence
