Do nice rooftop amenities have to expensive and overly complicated? I don't think so and this is a good example. In the image we designed a series of repeating rooftop spaces each with a specific amenity, either a barbecue/outdoor eating or a fire pit/lounge space. The materials were simple, the overhead was just bistro lights, the separation was just a basic raised planter/curb. The views were great so we didn't really have to do too much or overcomplicate the design and detailing, which ultimately saved the client money. We provided multiple uses, comfortable seating and let the space stand on it's own with a few key elements mixed in. All the feedback we've seen is this place is knock out at night, even with the series of spaces they are often all full and you have to get here early to claim a spot. What do you think?
