It is important to recognize that each family is unique, and therefore, a personalized approach to building relationships with parents is crucial. Taking the time to listen, show empathy, and demonstrate genuine care and concern can go a long way in establishing a strong foundation for the assessment process. This approach can help create a safe space for parents to express their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment.

?? HOW CONFLICS WITH PARENTS IMPACT YOUR RELATIONSHIPS! Yes I know!!! The same kinds of conflicts keep popping up in your relationship!? ?? I have been there. Whether it’s small misunderstandings or bigger arguments, there’s often a hidden layer to what’s really going on. And a lot of times, it goes back to something we might not even remember - our relationship with our mom and dad. Our first relationships with our parents shape everything: how we handle emotions, communicate, and respond to triggers. If there are unresolved issues, like feeling unappreciated, not heard, or even misunderstood, we can unintentionally carry these patterns into our relationships as adults. ? EXPERIMENT: The next time you have a recurring conflict with your partner, ask yourself, “Does this feel familiar?” Recognizing the pattern is a start. So, what can you do? Start by looking at your reactions. Try to see if there’s a connection to how you responded in your family growing up. This kind of awareness is a powerful first step toward creating more healthier connections. Have you noticed how past experiences with parents shape present relationships? #MindsetMatters #Relationships #BreakingPatterns #PersonalGrowth #Mindsettitude

Are you setting a good example for your kids? Children are observational learners.? American psychologist Albert Bandura says that children (and adults!) “observe and model another individual’s behavior, attitudes, or emotional expressions.” If you want your kid to behave a certain way, you must model those behaviors.? For example, I model indistractable behaviors for my daughter.? So, when we encouraged her to limit screen time, she set a reasonable limit herself.? Showing instead of telling allows you to lead your kids without being too controlling.? If you agree, share this post to help your network!

Parents, it's crucial to handle every problem by engaging in open and rational conversations with your children. Explain your decisions clearly, and if they express disagreement, ask them to share their reasons. Encourage them to consider the positives and negatives of their choices. Work together to negotiate and connect, building a strong bond. Time passes quickly, and you'll want to ensure you’ve had meaningful discussions to understand each other better.
