Today we mark National Early Years Teacher Day, celebrating the invaluable role that Early Years teachers play in our children's lives.
??Congratulations to all the winners of the awards, as well as the nominees.
Early Years is one of the most gender-imbalanced workforces in the world yet is a critical context in which to address gender inequality and stereotypes, for the benefit of children and wider society.
We would like to spotlight Johnathan Crockett, winner of the Men in the Early Years category, for being a change maker in the sector.
Our?MITEY?(Men In The Early Years) campaign advocates for greater gender diversity in the UK early years education sector, and provides evidence-based resources and training opportunities for early years organisations wishing to improve their recruitment and retention of male staff.
?Are you a male early years teacher? Or a man who's interested in early years education as a career?
??Check out our resources, case studies, and jobs board on our MITEY website: https://miteyuk.org/
?Are you a parent of a child being taught by a male early years professional? Would you value having more men in the classroom?
