Less than 10% of nurses in the US are African American. That means only 1 out of 10 nurses would be African American. Out of 100 employed nurses, only 10 would be African American. It raises the question of how many nurses of color were terminated compared to non-minority nurses? Was patient safety compromised, or was there a bias?
