Congratulations to Brianna G., who helped a former Navy officer get his discharge upgraded last month, allowing access to benefits that were previously unavailable. She had been working on the pro bono case for a year-and-half through Legal Services of Northern Virginia's Discharge Upgrade Clinic. Ajay Jagtiani is on LSNV's board. “Brianna was exceptionally successful in both upgrading the discharge status as well as the characterization of the discharge, a very rare event that all should be proud of," Ajay says. #probono #veterans

Nancy Greene was honored last night during the Baltimore Business Journal's Power 10 awards ceremony, which recognizes leaders in the Greater Baltimore business community. Holly Drumheller Butler talked to The Daily Record about the U.S. Department of Justice’s new pilot program for corporate whistleblowers. The program is aimed at uncovering and prosecuting corporate crime and complements the False Claims Act. Holly has been following the program since it was announced in March. She told TDR the program highlights the need for robust and effective corporate compliance, and that companies should evaluate their compliance practices and programs.
