Imagine if we all gave a little more today—a bit more kindness, a little extra time, or a few more dollars to a cause that lights us up. Why? Today is #GivingTuesday, and to me, it’s important to not treat this as just another “day” on the calendar. I see it as a chance to turn generosity into momentum, to make someone feel seen, valued, and cared for. To show up with kindness, love, and radical generosity.?? Because in a world that moves fast, giving slows us down just enough to connect, care and create real impact. One of my favorite quotes is: “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” Winston Churchill What if we all focused on what we give today and every day. We rise by truly lifting others. How can we show up and be the good, see the good and share the good? How can we lead with heart and give from the heart. I’m an introvert- it makes me a better fundraiser. The great fundraisers are charismatic extroverts, right? That misconception caused me a lot of insecurity, and serious imposter syndrome. I once shared this concern with one of my mentors. She changed my life this insight: introverts often make the best fundraisers. Why? We listen. We focus intently on our donors, understanding their passions and motivations without dominating the conversation. We are thoughtful. Thoughtful proposals matter. Introverts excel at crafting strategic, focused proposals that resonate with a donor's interests. We build meaningful connections. We build strong, genuine bonds with donors on a one-on-one basis, the foundation of lasting support. We shine behind the scenes.
