This is great insight into what is stalling remote patient monitoring… AK Medicaid has allowed for it but little of it is billed because of federal restrictions on reimbursement. We have a foundation on which we could build if only the environment would improve.

CMS recently released its 2025 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule, which introduces modest updates to digital health policies, including new codes for FDA-cleared digital mental health therapeutics. CMS made audio-only telehealth services permanent but declined broader changes, such as alternative payment methods for telehealth in rural clinics, citing its limited regulatory authority. The proposed rule provides several wins for telehealth proponents; however, these wins may be moot if #Congress fails to extend pandemic-era telehealth flexibilities beyond 2024.
