This We’ll Defend – United States Army ???? ??? Honoring the U.S. Army: Defending Our Nation Since 1775 ??? As part of our Veterans Day campaign, we honor the US Army, the oldest branch of our military. Established in 1775 as the Continental Army, its mission has been to protect the nation for nearly 250 years. Guided by the motto “This We’ll Defend,” the Army has continually stood as a pillar of strength, safeguarding the freedoms we cherish today. Throughout its storied history, the U.S. Army has been shaped by the service and leadership of extraordinary individuals. General George Washington, the first commander of the Continental Army, laid the foundation for the Army’s enduring legacy. More recent figures, such as General Colin Powell and General Lloyd Austin, have exemplified the resilience and leadership of soldiers who have carried this legacy forward. Yet, as these soldiers transition from military service to civilian life, they often face new challenges—whether in finding employment, housing, or adjusting to everyday civilian routines. This is where the Army’s commitment to service continues. Programs like the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) provide veterans with the guidance and resources they need to navigate these challenges, offering job search tools, counseling, and essential support to ensure a successful transition. At Kaleidoscope Affect, supporting veterans through these transitions is a mission close to our hearts. Our founder and CEO, Dr. Linda Singh, a veteran and former Adjutant General of the Maryland Army National Guard, understands firsthand the complexities of re-entering civilian life after military service. Her experience fuels our dedication to advocating for programs that empower veterans to succeed in their next chapter. As we celebrate Veterans Day, we pay tribute to all soldiers, past and present. Your courage, leadership, and strength inspire us, and your contributions—both in uniform and beyond—enrich our communities every day. Who doesn't like a birthday celebration?? Birthdays are absolutely a thing in the military, too. Each service branch celebrates their birthday. The US Army celebrated 249 years on June 14. Military installations also celebrate birthdays. Ft. Jackson (Columbia, SC), where about half of all Army soldiers are trained, celebrated 107 years on June 2. And no birthday is complete without festivities...and cake. Brands typically say, "thank you for your service" on Veterans Day. And that's great. It's also the absolute minimum that can be done. Look at it like this. If I talk to you once a year, we probably have a passing relationship at best. What if I talk to you on days important to you? Your birthday. Or asking about your spouse. Maybe your pet. If I showed more interest in you personally, wouldn't we have a better relationship? Setting aside common sense, brands still only talk to the military community once a year. #MilitaryMarketing #Military #Marketing #MilitaryAppreciation

For 249 years, the US Army has been the backbone of our nation's #defense. But did you know we had an army before we even had a country? It's true - the Continental Army was established in 1775, a full year before the Declaration of Independence. As General Robert Brown says, we have a nation because we had an army. The Arsenal of Democracy (AOD) has long celebrated this legacy, sponsoring events like the annual Army Birthday Ball. But next year is special - the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army. Imagine: 250 years of service, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to our nation. How do we honor such a monumental milestone? The AOD isn't just about remembering the past. Today, we support ROTC programs, veterans, and community initiatives. We're constantly asking: How can we better serve our soldiers and our communities? As we approach this historic 250th birthday, we have a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between our military and civilian populations. How can we use this moment to strengthen the bonds between our heroes and our communities? The upcoming 250th Army Birthday Ball will be more than a celebration - it's a chance to recommit ourselves to the ideals that have sustained our nation for two and a half centuries. What role will you play in honoring this legacy and shaping our future? P.S. Remember, supporting our troops isn't just about the big moments - it's about the everyday acts of kindness and understanding that truly connect us all. Ready to be part of something bigger? Join us in celebrating 250 years of Army strong! The new executive board is in place and we are ready to get to work! —— ?? Re-post to inform your network #Army #Soldiers #USArmy #Military #Goverment #govcon

Dear Army veterans, as someone who has walked the same path, I intimately understand the profound emotional toll of transitioning from military service to civilian life. The challenge of shedding a familiar identity and forging a new way forward can be overwhelming. Yet, amidst this struggle, your strength remains unmatched. You are not alone in this journey of rediscovery and adaptation. The camaraderie that binds us as veterans extends beyond the battlefield, creating a network of support that transcends the challenges of transition. Embrace the shared resilience that defines our community. Your experiences, sacrifices, and unwavering commitment have shaped you into individuals of exceptional fortitude. As you navigate this new chapter, remember that your resilience is a beacon of inspiration for others who may be on a similar path. Together, we stand united, reinforcing the notion that the bonds forged in service endure beyond the uniform. In times of uncertainty, lean on the collective strength of our community, for within it lies the assurance that you are not alone. Let us continue to uplift and support one another, celebrating the indomitable spirit that defines us as veterans. #OliviaNunnCommunication #USArmy #ArmyVeteran #USA #MentalHealthAdvocate #RetiredArmy

There will be a day not long from now, when your military service will be but a chapter in your life story. Some of you are leaving the service soon. Maybe at the end of this month, next month, the start of the new year. The idea of no longer solely identifying as a service member may seem impossible when you're standing at PT formation at 0630 for another battalion run. But the day is coming. Whether you're the most senior General or the most junior Airman, assuming the very best of health for you, you will spend more time as a civilian post-military than you did as a service member. The best way to prepare is to network with others who've already made the transition, and in particular those doing what you may want to do. When is the best time to start networking? Yesterday. The next best time? Today. Veterans helped me turn the page on my last chapter when I retired from the service four years ago. They can for you too. I've heard people I respect share how while their service was and will forever be an integral part of their foundation, they are no longer constrained by that identity. Embrace the change even if it's scary. Every single person who ever served in uniform left at some point. You're going to be ok. Reach out to veterans. Reach out to me. What other advice do my fellow veterans have for people in transition? #veteranshelpingveterans #militarytransition #milspouses #veterans #jvknows

Happy Veterans Day to all my sisters and brothers in arms. Some valuable insights from my time. 1. Deliberate development of service members is valuable to your company. Why? Because as military leaders we have to understand people’s strengths and weaknesses. Then place them in the most advantageous space for them to excel. While they excel, we have to develop them further to be able to lead the next generation of service members. This cycle repeats and it something veterans take with them after departing service. 2. Working with people from all over. We are a force made of people from every background. We learn to adapt, understand and communicate across things that would normally divide or slow the civilian population. Adaptability and being able to understand others is a major strength veteran possess. For Veterans Day this year, I challenge you to not only thank a Veteran. It’s always for us to hear that. But, have a conversation with a veteran in your work center. Ask about what they learned in the military and ask what was the best part for them. You will get a good story. If you want to laugh ask them about basic training. Reflecting back and telling those stories you may laugh until you cry. #military #veterans
