An area of research by Thomas, et al. showed is an area of concern for EMS agencies, “Overall, the intubation success rate was 78.8%, and the first-pass success rate was 68.5%.” For the years 2022 and 2023, Parker County (TX) Hospital District Emergency Medical Service (PCHD EMS) has been able to maintain first pass success rates greater than 96%.
