Our department will be monitoring the storm’s progress closely and coordinating with local agencies to ensure safety measures are in place. This was the second week of MDPD’s Special Response Team Selection Course #58 and Tactical Paramedic Basic #4. This is the first phase of the 12-week process in order to earn the coveted SRT certificate. Candidates who complete this grueling three week program will be invited to attend the additional nine week development phase.

4 周I support the Miami-Dade Police Department. That said, the standard protocol is the standard for a reason. No amount of celebrity or public pressure should cause a change. A simple presser explaining the process would've sufficed in my opinion. Tyreek Hill obviously sees this as a joke given his touchdown celebration. If the officers on scene were overly aggressive then that can be stated. Removing the protocols put in place because he's a celebrity is not the way. It's not the department's fault Tyreek Hill decided to put the lives of countless innocent people at risk by his actions. The officers had contact with him by his own doing. That part of the conversation gets lost when we as law enforcement cater to those engaging in dangerous behavior that we swore to deter, due to their celebrity status.
