ABOUT CDA:
The Takoma/Langley Crossroads Development Authority was created in 1987 to
promote a busy commercial district that hosts many immigrant-owned small businesses with a large percentage of Latinx entrepreneurs, and advocate for its needs with a focus on pedestrian safety and maintenance.
?? They've also sponsored a beloved farmer's market since 2009, initiating an equitable approach by accepting food subsidies that increased the ability of low-income shoppers to purchase fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables at the market.
?? They are also right next to a major new Purple Line station. Organizations like CDA are critical to connecting immigrant-owned small businesses with the technical assistance necessary to withstand challenges to construction, regulations, and changing public policy. Recently, they posted about a new facade grant and offered 1:1 assistance to apply.
