Designing with Purpose: Post-Production Studios goes beyond aesthetics; it's a purpose-driven, functional, contemporary vision of a workspace that recognises the benefits of immersion in nature. Our ‘Pioneer Nature’ method focuses on a nature-forward approach, and this is perfectly exemplified at Post-Production Studios. We have loved sharing this World Architecture Festival project spotlight - follow us to stay tuned for our next WAF project reveal! #Architectureanddesign #PioneerNature #atelierarchitectureanddesign #architectureandnature #architecturalrenders

What does designing for animals look like? Traditionally, architects and planners have focused on designing spaces just for humans but other species also play a big part in shaping our cities. There's a growing movement among designers to blur the boundaries between human and non-human spaces, creating environments that support the well-being of all living things. The following article highlights projects that use this new approach, challenging the idea that humans are the only caretakers of the built environment. PROJECT | THE LIGHTHOUSE ? In the creation of The Lighthouse, we have conceived a space where fantasy and imagination intertwine with the essence of the sea and its stories. Inspired by nautical architectures, sea creatures and myths surrounding the ocean, we have given shape to a lighthouse turned into a playground. Located in the heart of Diagonal Mar, The Lighthouse not only aims to be a place of entertainment, but also to offer a complete experience, beyond the simple act of playing, where each visit becomes a journey into the unknown. The Lighthouse invites little adventurers to conquer its heights. Through an internal climb, they can reach the top and slide down the thrilling slide that winds its way down. But this park is not just a physical challenge, it is also a portal to imaginary worlds, where every corner is steeped in stories to be discovered. Every detail has been carefully designed to stimulate children's creativity and curiosity; every element of The Lighthouse invites you to immerse yourself in a world of fantasy. The Lighthouse is not just a playground; it is a beacon of adventure, a beacon of imagination and a beacon of fun in the vast ocean of possibilities that is childhood. Biophilic design integrates natural elements into the built environment, fostering a sense of harmony between the indoors and the outdoors. It draws on the understanding that humans have an inherent affinity for nature, a connection that can greatly impact our health, happiness, and productivity. "Biophilia," coined by psychologist Erich Fromm in the 1970s, encompasses this concept of love for life and living systems ! #biophilicdesign #biophilicarchitecture #housearchitecture #homedesign https://lnkd.in/gcpUBP_K

Let nature in! It's pretty widely understood that interactions with nature are good for us. Most of us will have felt our stress levels drop while walking in nature, experienced the energy rush that comes from a cold dip in the ocean, and have been captivated by a Pīwakawaka swooping right in front of us, but what about nature in our homes, in our architecture? We usually seek the benefits of exposure to nature when we're on holiday, or on the weekends - yet we spend most of our lives in our homes. Creating these human-nature connections has become a core principle in my architectural design process, and it's creating some beautiful results. "Why do you need a game engine for Virtual Priduction?" 1. Optimize for Real-Time Rendering: Virtual production often requires real-time rendering, so optimizing your assets and scenes is crucial. Use Level of Detail (LOD) for models, reduce polygon counts where possible, and optimize textures. Game engines like Unreal Engine have tools like Nanite, which can handle complex geometry without heavy performance costs, enabling smoother, more realistic scenes. 2. Leverage Previsualization (Previz): Game engines allow for high-quality previsualization, helping you map out scenes and camera angles before the actual shoot. Use virtual cameras and lighting setups to visualize how shots will look and interact with assets, saving time during actual filming and ensuring precise alignment between real and virtual elements. Check out this amazing set! Powered by Brainstorm #Infinityset. Great job ronen lasry! Got questions about Virtual Production? Drop a comment or DM. What a great article ? Some interesting insights into how we should all be thinking about our 'play spaces'. As developers we have a responsibility to make sure we think about the needs, wants and desires of the community we are creating, so why not become innovators and visionaries?! ??♀?
In celebration of #parksweek2024, we're highlighting the innovators shaping our parks and public spaces. ?? Our first feature is an interview with Meghan Talarowski, PLA, ASLA, CPSI a renowned public space practitioner and the visionary behind Studio Ludo. With degrees in architecture and landscape architecture, Meghan, a certified playground safety inspector, has been instrumental in shaping parks across the United States since 2008. Here are our top 3 takeaways: ? Play evolves beyond childhood, and as designers, it's our responsibility to support and enhance play in public spaces. ? Swings remain universally popular across all ages, and building larger ones (for 30 people!) draws a diverse crowd. ? Playgrounds aren't just for children; half of the users are all ages. We need to start prioritising intergenerational design. Explore Meghan's insights, her journey, and Studio Ludo's innovative work in our Q&A.
