Important read – Long-term onset of climate change has a significant impact on mental health, contributing to increased rates of anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder, according to a new study conducted from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Mitigating disparities in #publichealth, like food insecurity and access to care, is crucial in addressing the link between #mentalhealth and #climatechange. As temperatures rise across the globe – both literally and figuratively – business leaders must collaborate if we have any hope of improving the health of our planet and our people.
In a paper recently published in Nature Mental Health, Christy Denckla, assistant professor of social and behavioral sciences at Harvard Chan School, reviewed the body of evidence around the mental health consequences of chronic, slow-onset climate change.
