???????????? ???????? ?????????????? ?????? ?????????????? ?????????????? ?? Van Oord concluded 2023 with strong results: revenue reached record high and profits more than doubled. Compared to last year, we saw revenue growth across both our Dredging & Infra and Offshore Energy business units, which resulted in a significantly revenue increase of 42% to EUR 2.9 billion from EUR 2.0 billion in 2022. Net profit doubled to EUR 127 million from EUR 60 million in 2022. High fleet utilisation and the continued sharp focus on risk and contract management contributed to the improved results. Solvency was stable at 32.5% and the net debt position improved to EUR 152 million as of 31 December 2023, despite an extremely high investment level. The order book increased by 3% to EUR 4,429 million from EUR 4,300 million in 2022. From an operational and financial perspective, 2023 proved to be an extremely busy year for Van Oord and one of substantial growth and recovery. After an intense week, the hang-out week after looks as active and full of surprises. Petrobras is gearing up for a significant shift in its strategic focus with the upcoming 2025-2029 plan. As outlined by Chief Financial Officer Fernando Melgarejo, this new direction emphasizes upstream operations, aiming to rebuild and sustain the company’s oil and gas reserves. The 2025-2029 strategic plan will prioritize upstream activities, which include exploration and production. This shift is crucial as Petrobras anticipates a reduction in its oil and gas reserves by 2030, a scenario described as “uncomfortable” by Melgarejo. The company aims to replenish these reserves to ensure long-term sustainability. Unlike previous plans, the new strategy does not foresee major mergers or acquisitions. This approach is designed to maintain financial stability without significantly increasing debt. Petrobras recently completed a $1 billion issuance in dollar-denominated global notes, reflecting market confidence in its financial health. Environmental Balance: While the focus is on upstream o Petrobras is actively exploring new frontiers, such as the environmentally sensitive Equatorial Margin, Brazil’s most promising oil frontier. Additionally, the company has ongoing projects in other countries, including natural gas exploration in Colombia, an interest moving to Namibia and Suriname, recently. But managers can add significant value through operational improvements, which can lead to outperformance compared to public market equities in most cycles. ? Infra - today’s opportunity set is much more diverse than the “roads and bridges” era. Portfolios now include data storage, wind farms, water desalinization plants, etc. And an inflation hedge to boot! ? Secondaries are a real thing now - you can invest in seasoned private assets and underwrite the whole portfolio. OFFSHORE ACCOUNTS: "It’s been a sweet week for many for shipowners, as we look at the big bucks coursing through the veins of an industry that is firing on all cylinders at last. "One person who can take their whiskey neat, and also buy the entire distillery and half the Western Isles, is Tidewater CEO Quintin Kneen. Mr Kneen announced the sale of another US$16 million of Tidewater shares last week at US$109 per share, on top of the over US$25 million that he sold in March, according to filings with the SEC. On Friday, the stock was back trading just over US$102. "To be fair, he had been holding some of the shares from his Gulfmark Offshore employee compensation scheme since 2014, but the surge in the value of the company’s shares to over US$110 on May 7 has probably made Mr Kneen the richest manager and highest paid executive in the entire offshore industry. Curb your envy, peasants! "This is deserved, since the company is throwing out cash and jacking up rates across the board. "Given that a quarter of Mr Kneen’s wealth came from the acquisition of the 50 vessels of the Swire Pacific Offshore fleet for less than US$200 million in 2022 (vessels that now appear to be worth over US$1.2 billion) perhaps he should share the largesse with the fearful Swire managers who created so much value for him personally, along with the craven Nordic bankers who forced Solstad Offshore to sell Tidewater 37 high-value, high specification platform supply vessels (PSVs for US$577 million in 2023. Those ex-Solstad vessels are probably now worth over US$750 million. "Perhaps Mr Kneen should send a few bottles of Blue Label to Hong Kong and Oslo to remind them of their folly?" OGDCL ANNOUNCES FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR THE PERIOD ENDED MARCH 31, 2024 OGDCL has announced the financial results for the period ended on March 31, 2024, of the fiscal year 2023-24. Net sales revenue clocked at Rs. 348.164 billion translating to Profit after tax of Rs. 171.104 billion and earnings per share of Rs. 39.78. The company announced an interim cash dividend for the period ended March 31, 2024, @ Rs 2.00 per share i.e. 20 percent. This is in addition to the interim dividend already paid @ Rs.4.1 per share i.e. 41 percent to its shareholders. During the period under review, the company paid Rs. 68.497 billion on account of Taxation. On the exploration and development side company recorded significant enhancement in seismic efforts and drilling activities.

In the simulation I: * Completed a job simulation involving investment advising across three of PGIM Fixed Income's teams. * Extracted key financial information from a company’s annual report to calculate various accounting ratios & adjusted EBITDA. * Calculated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on an investment portfolio due to a change in its composition. * Recorded a short presentation on a company's latest earnings. * Communicated updates and recommendations to a client after an investment breach. It has been an amazing experience for me to increase my knowledge of Fixed Income.
