A recent study from Vision Serve Alliance found that in North Carolina, only 43% of adults ages 18-64 with blindness or low vision are employed. Metrolina Association for the Blind's rehabilitation services give people skills they need to join the workforce. Sometimes that means learning to use a screen reader and other adaptive technology. Sometimes it's learning to use public transportation and a mobility cane. And sometimes, it's just being connected with others who have traveled the same path. Help us make those connections. https://hubs.ly/Q02KcBsV0 #GiveGood #HelpWanted #Workforce #AssistiveTechnology #OrientationAndMobility #VisionRehabilitation #Blind #LowVision

Home-based training: Providing training in the individual's home environment to familiarize them with their immediate surroundings, such as their house or neighborhood. #School-based training: Integrating orientation and mobility training into the curriculum of schools for the blind or special education institutions. Community Centers: Offering training at community centers or rehabilitation centers that serve visually impaired individuals. #Technology-Assisted Training: Using assistive technology, such as smartphone apps and GPS devices, to aid visually impaired individuals in navigation and orientation. Are there any phone companies that provide phone service for a no-transmit zone environment for disabled people?! My opinion is every wireless company must maintain usable technology for a no-transmit zone that the disabled need for communication! I have a government internet service without a wireless hookup this company is Comcast, and I live in the city of Fort Collins, Colorado. But NO SERVICES WITHOUT WIRELESS PHONES! I received a phone for my disability and also had to register with FCC service to operate this phone for it uses the internet to translate voice to text which can provide extra loud volume to help me hear some of what is spoken, I just need wired service to work inside my shielded box home. Or there is another option in 5G LED light beaming from homes to the on-street line of site transmission towers up and down our streets today. This is called Light-Fidelity (Li-Fi) which someday could replace Wi-Fi for a No-Transmission Zone in which there are no Radio Frequency pollution Emissions! Oh, there is fiberoptic cable but, it gives off some Electrical-Magnetic-Polution with the conversion box to phone hookup adapter! I know someone out there can solve this maybe the phone company would like more profits from us that can't use wireless for I heard it could be as high as 30% of the population by 2030 or 15% by 2025. The sooner the possibility of safer non-wireless tech the lower the number of people will be! Higher numbers can use the phone service or communications. I wonder how many homes have already been shielded to keep out Electrical Pollution, the more shielded homes, the more dead zones in wireless communications. Especially the 5G and 6G transmissions that need line of sight to operate efficiently. Think Safety First out their people make fewer disabled individuals for 2030!
