To all my connections in the observability space, let me introduce an observability vendor you may not recognize. Coralogix 2 months ago I started as a TAM with the company and have been intrenched in the product. As you know, I am experienced in many other o11y platforms such as New Relic, Dynatrace, and Splunk. Of course, I immediately compare Coralogix functionally, features, cost, and applicable use cases with other platforms. I am not disappointed. This is a feature rich platform that collects and analyzes telemetry from all 3 pillars of o11y (metrics, logs, and traces) that is 3x more cost effective than most competitors. I cannot delve into all the specifics in this post but I will share how Coralogix addresses two important o11y. factors that I know interest you: Cost effective and predictable: Logs and traces are categorized into three levels of priority that you determine. These levels allow you decide what telemetry is indexed (high priority, frequently searched) and telemetry that should go directly to less expensive storage. Regardless of the level, all telemetry analysis is performed pre-indexing, unlike other vendors that make you pay to index all telemetry and then perform analysis. See more at: https://lnkd.in/eubbmgQ4 Migration Lift: Coralogix does not use agents as other vendors, open-source telemetry collectors/shippers are deployed, such as OpenTelemetry (OTEL) and provide integrations to cloud providers (aws, gcp, azure) The concern for most of us is the migration effort required to move to a new platform and the lack of formal support of open-source technologies. Coralogix has a dedicated team of migration experts that will help you plan and execute the migration. Coralogix provides support for the open--source collector/shippers. You will have migration experts and 24x7 365 support, both at NO COST. Let me share how we at Coralogix have made observability 3x more cost-effective! ?? Our CEO, Ariel Assaraf, dives into the technology powering these savings and explores how we stack up against competitors like Splunk and DataDog. If you're looking to optimize your observability, this is a must-watch! #Observability #TechInnovation #CostEfficiency #Coralogix
Modern Observability with Ariel Assaraf CEO at Coralogix, how did they make it cost x3 less?

We have been working hard on removing a big pain point for conda users: Slow repodata fetching. We propose a new method for fetching repodata that is significantly faster and uses considerably less memory. I've written a blogpost detailing the issues with the current state of affairs and how our approach solves these issues: https://lnkd.in/ezwxBKcR
A big pain point for the Conda Community users is the huge "repodata.json" file. It makes it almost impossible to use Conda / Mamba or Pixi under bad network conditions. We finally found a great way to fix this: sharded repodata. With sharded repodata, the client only downloads what it needs (the tiny shards). This makes for a smaller download and a very fast initial experience, even with a cold cache. There are many other benefits (improved caching, better CDN story, ...) that will dramatically increase the quality of life for conda-forge users. Our goal is to make this available to all conda-users. We have written a very detailed Conda Enhancement Proposal and we are already working with Anaconda, Inc. employees to bring this to "conda-index" ?? ?? I'm thrilled to share some insights from my recent experiences with using Nephio to orchestrate the lifecycle of Telco CNFs. 1?? Hosted Kubernetes Control-Plane with K0smotron: I've been leveraging K0smotron to host Kubernetes control planes on Proxmox. This setup offers a strategic alternative by deploying the Kubernetes control-planes centrally rather than at the edge locations. This centralization can lead to significant cost savings by reducing the number of servers needed for ETCD quorum. 2?? Kubernetes as a Network Router Control-Plane: In this architecture, Kubernetes is not just handling container orchestration—I'm using it as the control-plane for configuring network routers. This method simplifies network management and ensures seamless integration with the existing infrastructure. 3?? Dynamic VLAN Configuration with DaemonSets: To maintain efficient and consistent network segmentation, I've implemented a DaemonSet that automates VLAN configuration across remote worker nodes. This automation is key to managing complex networks with ease. Built on Proxmox as the hypervisor and powered by Nephio Release 3, this architecture is at the forefront of pushing Kubernetes beyond its traditional use cases. Opinions shared in this post are my own and do not reflect those of my employer. #Kubernetes #K8s #Networking #DevOps #Automation #CloudComputing #Infrastructure #Nephio #ProxMox #K0smotron #GitOps https://lnkd.in/esq8gni3
