I see overemphasis on creating sophisticated-looking pitch decks at the seed stage. While an eye-catching deck is always nice to have, have seen terribly basic & verbose decks getting funded simply because the underlying business was super differentiated & therefore, interesting. PS: this changes at the Series A & beyond stages, where the pitch materials are defined held to a much higher bar by larger institutional investors.

I will read a deck for 15 seconds by David Slowey So true Ed Kang (RODC) and Burak Buyukdemir I will scan a deck if I don't understand it within 15 seconds I will move onto one I do understand. The reality is it is not the best idea that wins the investment it is the idea we understand the best. We just want to understand your market, your customers and how your competitors are not fulfilling their needs. This gap between your customer needs and your competitors offerings is the competitive advantage, USP, the secret sauce and ultimatly, it is the money maker. Only when we understand this should you then explain your solve/product your team and your company roadmap.

New contact spam method. Post a graphic no one can read then use it as an excuse to connect to them so you can message them the higher res version. This is bad behavior.
