Youth mentoring holds profound importance in shaping the lives of youth who are blind or partially sighted and helps build personal development and shape perceptions of what the future may hold. That’s why we pair our current Program youth with older youth who are also blind or partially sighted in programs such as Youth Leadership or Creating Confidence. These programs are a place where new relationships can be forged and the older youth can offer advice, share wisdom, and serve as positive role models. This guidance can help the younger youth navigate challenges or barriers, make informed decisions, develop essential life skills, and inspire and explore their own aspirations or goals. #YouthMentors #YouthLeadership #BlindBeginnings #CreatingConfidence

Leadership is practised through the planning and executing of projects, while social influence grows as these young leaders inspire their peers to contribute and collaborate.
