I feel better today and empowered and excited about the number of folks that are also empowered and excited about the well-being of young people in the communities that they're in. NPS really gave us a redoubled purpose to the work that we do. And so we expanded our federal work study students involved in tutoring. So when I met NPS, we were at three schools and I said now we're at 15. Because it was through their technical assistance, through the workshops I was able to attend, they were able to give us the infrastructure to solidify the infrastructure. To broaden our scope. It takes a whole village too. Like raise a kid. But you know, what makes up that village is very, very important. We are here as part of the community to support their needs, what their goals are. We're here to fit in, to help you support your goals. It's not doing service for, it's not doing service too, but it's doing service with. I think what people ought to understand is that they have agency and opportunity to make real change. It's just been impressive to watch this collective group of people across the country. Schools are really stepping up and finding ways to work with their community. Through AmeriCorps to give them the people power they need to reach all the students with the supports. We know that work. Verse 400. College students become full-time educators as a result of starting as a tutor. The little, little things that we're doing in the school every day, it matters, right? Brick by brick, step by step. And so it's encouraging me to know that if we just continue to just put our hands to the plow, we'll continue to make a difference in children's lives.
