Today, we pay tribute to the enduring legacy, cultural richness, and remarkable contributions of Native American communities, whose presence and impact are woven into the fabric of our society. California Native American Day celebrates the distinctive culture of the Native American people indigenous to California and calls attention to the triumphs and struggles that comprise their rich history. As Tuck and Yang remind us, "Decolonization is not a metaphor," and settler colonization is not an event but a structure of permanent invasion meant to eliminate the native from past, present, and future. Let's work to honor, support, and engage in meaningful partnerships with local Native communities to help undo the impacts of colonialism. #NativeAmericanDay #MPC

Some of the most powerful voices against Christian Nationalism belong to Christian leaders who know best why the theocratic political movement is a threat not only to American democracy but to the witness of the church as well. There is a lot of energy and activism out there, and it’s being led by a broad coalition of Christians, non-Christians and nonreligious activists.
