Enterprise can be a big scam... Enterprise readiness is something lots of reps don't think about when seeing that shiny ENT AE title. One of the key things to ask is: "What does enterprise mean to X company?" Especially with startups where you get hired as an Enterprise AE but the target employee size you sell to is 500+. That's not really enterprise. Things to look out for when searching for an enterprise role: -How many current customers do you have in the enterprise space? -How do you rip and replace current enterprise incumbents? -How do you support enterprise security needs? -How do you support complex integrations?

A CLIENT SAID to me today that they didn't need any of the smart licensing details that they actually weren't using it. They found that they could get the same functionality from other tools. We are years into the roll out now but it appears the adoption isn't as widespread as we thought. I always tell my clients that as we get 3 years into a product is a time to consider preowned as for most they know it will be a matter of years before they are replacing them again.
