Brain Awareness Week – March 11-17 –?is the global campaign to foster public enthusiasm and support for brain science, sharing the wonders of the brain and the impact brain science has on our everyday lives. The brain is the body’s command center, and is responsible for every thought, feeling, and most of our actions. It is estimated, though, that between 13.3 and 16.1 million individuals age 18+ are afflicted with common brain disorders and diseases. Dependence and need for care vary between neurological diagnoses. If you are someone supporting someone with a brain disorder or disease, please remember you are never alone in your caregiving journey. Learn more about Brain Awareness Week:?https://lnkd.in/g-Mwprq8

This disease is like tuberculosis, the so-called "great mimicker" of Neuroinflammatory diseases. Initially, I thought it was ADEM or NMOSD, but the cauda equina findings made me step back and rethink. I wouldn't get the correct diagnosis without my lessons from Spin Academics. From a trainee's perspective, there is much to learn about this entity. #Neuroinflammation #Neuroradiology #AJNRcow >> May 16, 2024 >> A 4-year-old boy with known autism spectrum disorder & developmental delay at baseline is admitted to the ICU with subacute progressive encephalopathy, ataxia, autonomic instability, & subacute intractable emesis.
