It is a very great initiative & Contributed to SDGs goal directly or Indirectly. 12: Responsible Consumption and Production. This goal aims to ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns, which include reducing waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling, and reuse. Recycling helps minimize environmental impact, conserve resources, and reduce pollution, supporting both the efficient use of materials and the promotion of sustainable practices. SDG 13: Climate Action, by reducing greenhouse gas emissions from waste and promoting more sustainable industrial processes. SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, by preventing waste from contaminating water sources. SDG 15: Life on Land, by reducing land degradation and pollution. #Dekkoisho #Ecovia #Sustainability #Recycle

Each year, over 2 billion tons of waste are generated worldwide, a figure expected to rise by up to 70% by 2050, further straining our planet. Bangladesh, while grappling with its own waste challenges, is also a land of immense potential. With nearly 14 million tons of food waste and vast quantities of discarded materials produced annually, the opportunity to transform waste into resources for a sustainable future is substantial. Our portfolio startups Ecovia, EcoBloc, and SBU Greensect are turning this potential into sustainable solutions that are reshaping the landscape. Ecovia Bangladesh generates over 500,000 tons of pre-consumer textile waste each year. Ecovia addresses this by transforming discarded fabrics into 100% compostable, plastic-free packaging. These durable bags decompose fully within 180 days in soil, offering a robust and sustainable packaging solution for businesses and industrial applications. EcoBloc Plastic waste poses a significant threat to Bangladesh, with 800,000 tons produced annually and limited recycling options. EcoBloc offers a solution, converting non-recyclable plastic and fabric waste into high-quality building materials, directly addressing waste challenges with innovative upcycling that supports sustainable construction. Greensect Bangladesh faces a significant food waste problem. Greensect addresses this by repurposing food waste as feed for Black Soldier Fly (BSF) farming, where BSF larvae are cultivated and later harvested as high-protein livestock feed. This innovative approach transforms waste into a valuable resource, promoting sustainable agriculture and reducing dependence on traditional protein sources. #sustainableinvesting #circulareconomy #impactinvesting #DIVC #Ecovia #Greensect #EcoBloc
