???Tomorrow is Election Day! ??? McPherson Strategies client Leadership Now Project has been working to inform and ready business leaders to combat threats to democracy, protect and reform elections, and support qualified candidates in critical races. Leadership Now's CEO, Daniella Ballou-Aares, recently wrote a letter to The New York Times highlighting how business leaders are taking a stand to protect democracy. It is our collective responsibility to work together to protect, advance and improve democracy, and business leaders nationwide play an important role. This election will shape the future of free speech, the rights of historically marginalized communities, women’s health and reproductive rights, climate action and so much more — casting your vote is a vital way to ensure that your voice is heard. Business leaders can cultivate meaningful civic engagement in the workplace by ensuring employees have time to vote, encouraging workers to volunteer at their local polls and directing them to voting resources.? Visit vote.org to check your registration, find your polling place, and see what’s on your ballot. Make a plan to vote tomorrow, and join us in supporting initiatives that strengthen our democracy! #ElectionDay #Vote #Democracy #LeadershipNowProject

- We believe with Trump at the helm, he will enact draconian laws that will outlaw abortion outright nationally as his political apparatus and his surrogates tout... - At the same time, even with Kamala Harris at the helm, an amendment to codify a woman's right to an abortion into our constitution could prove daunting because Democrats require a sizable majority in both the House and Senate to move forward... - Also, her suggestion to rid us of the filibuster (to a simple Senate majority vote) historically has proven difficult... - The Biden Administration proposed a vote by the legislature to appoint four new justices to the Supreme Court who may be amenable to the abortion issue. Many may see this as political, as when attempted by The FDR Administration; a move to 'stack' the court... Consider: 'A judicial 'procedural' upheaval; not a judicial 'political' upheaval.'... 'Solely the female justices of the Supreme Court alone must decide cases related to 'Women's Reproductive Health' for their fellow 'sisterhood' in the citizenry, while their male counterparts either recuse, or even abstain from such cases.'... empathyequalsjustice.com (Four Pages - Three Minute Read) Reference: Thomas Doyle - 'Top' Featured Post - #KamalaHarris
Every time I vote, I think about those who sacrificed to secure this precious right. We owe it to them and to future generations to make our voices heard. There is so much at stake in this election—from women’s health and reproductive freedom to economic support for caregivers and families to basic democratic principles and values. And that’s just to name a few things. Study the issues, vote for what you believe in, and encourage the people around you to vote, too. Great topic. Very important to know issues and experience and prioritize what is important and to keep USA citizens safe. Line USA defense or CORRECT foreign policy to keep USA safe and out of wars. And prevent a world war. In these precarious times. With so many contrived hot beds conflict and strife and wars occurring. And protection of constitutional rights and civil liberties. And freedom of speech and social justice. And police reform. Wrongful arrests and wrongful prosecutions and wrongful convictions. And toxic abusive or false NOT NEEDED Guardianships. They are Being used along with mercenary paid for psychologists. ?to harm USA citizens and steal their money and property and or discredit them and defraud our government like SS. And SSDI. If we don’t have that we won’t have to worry about the economy. Nor reproductive issues.?

??? Do's and Don'ts of Election Time in the Office ??? As the founder of HigherPeople, I believe it’s vital to foster a supportive and inclusive environment, especially with this election. Here are some essential do's and don'ts to keep in mind today as leaders: Do: ? Give People Time to Vote Early or on Election Day: Let’s encourage our teams to take the necessary time to participate in the democratic process. Offering flexible schedules can empower our employees to make their voices heard. ? Create a Safe Space: This election season can be emotionally charged. As leaders, it’s our responsibility to ensure that all team members feel safe and valued, allowing them to express their thoughts and feelings openly but respectfully. ? Provide Resources: Share information about polling places, voting hours, and how to vote early. This can help make the voting process easier for everyone.? ? Lead by Example: Demonstrate your own commitment to civic engagement by sharing your voting plans and encouraging participation. ? Check-In on Your Team: Make a point to ask how your colleagues are feeling. A simple check-in can go a long way in fostering connection. Don't: ? Ostracize Anyone: It’s crucial to promote *respectful* dialogue and create an environment that honors diverse perspectives. Disagreement can be constructive, and every voice matters!? ? Make Assumptions: Avoid assuming someone's political beliefs based on their background or appearance. Engage with each person as an individual. ? Not Offer Flexibility to Vote:?It’s essential to support your team by allowing them the flexibility they need to participate in the election. Denying this can discourage civic engagement and impact morale. FYI - time to vote is protected by law in most states! By incorporating these guidelines, we can create a workplace culture that embraces diversity, fosters respect, and supports civic engagement. As we navigate this important time, let’s support each other and uphold our values of respect and inclusivity. ?Happy voting! ??: https://www.vote.org/ #ElectionDay #Leadership #WorkplaceInclusivity #DoAndDonts #Empowerment

?????? Your vote is your voice, and now is the time to make sure your voice is heard. ?????? The deadline in Oregon to register to vote is tomorrow, October 15! REGISTER TO VOTE: https://www.vote.org/ And please, please, please vote INFORMED! It's so easy to just believe what candidates say, but as voters, it's our responsibility to weigh facts over rhetoric. Also, consider these questions: ?? Are candidates interested in the people's best interest or their own? ?? Are they holding themselves accountable? How? ?? Do their previous actions match their words? ?? Do they ACTUALLY ANSWER QUESTIONS? ?? Are they blaming our problems on only one thing? (Nothing is ever that simple, my friends.) ?? Are they able to speak specifically about policy ideas? ?? Do their policies expand on our rights or take them away? And when it comes to measures on the ballot, make sure you understand the long term consequences before making a choice. Things can look good on paper, but be sure to think it through before deciding. A few other things to keep in mind: ?? No single politician will be able to do EVERYTHING they set out to do because it requires elected officials to work together, and some are more interested in what's best for their party than what's best for the people they represent. ?? People are allowed to learn, grow, and change their stances on things. It's your right to ask why. ?? Demand proof. If one candidate is saying something about the other and there's no action/facts/reports/voting history to back up those words, that's a red flag. ?? Don't expect to agree with anyone 100%. We are all individuals with our own experiences, values, and priorities. ?? LOCAL ELECTIONS MATTER. Your local representatives are your voice on bigger stages. Don't underestimate their importance. ?? Voting is a privilege, not a right. And it's a privilege that is at risk for a lot of people. Don't think that if it isn't at risk for you then it's not really at risk. ?? Challenge your own beliefs and biases. You don't have to set out to change your own mind, but it's important to make sure you're truly considering both sides. Extremism is never a requirement. I say all this now because there's still plenty of time before election day to do your research and then use your voice at the polls. If you need a neutral platform for information, I highly recommend Ballotpedia.org. Register to vote and take the time to vote informed. Your vote is your voice, and now is the time to make sure your voice is heard. #RegisterToVote #Vote #VoteInformed

Great news from Vote.org! We've seen an incredible 700% increase in daily voter registrations, reaching over 38,500 new registrations in the 48 hours after President Biden's announcement on Sunday. This marks the highest number of voter registrations we've seen in a 48-hour period during the 2024 cycle, with 83% of these new registrations coming from young voters aged 18-34. It's encouraging to see so many people, especially young people, eager to make their voices heard and participate in our democracy. I'm proud to say that voters trust Vote.org for reliable, nonpartisan resources to ensure they have everything they need to register and cast their votes, overcoming any obstacles in their way. With a conversion rate of 81% from registration to voting, we are once again ready to turn registrations into votes.
