My new creative, innovative, and inclusive work: “The Maha Samavesha Surya Namaskar. When your practice, research, life, experiment, and experience become well entangled, they form a rich tapestry of knowledge and wisdom. “The Maha Samavesha Surya Namaskar” explores the fluid nature of Surya Namaskar practice. This practice recognises and acknowledges the diversity and co-existence of different Surya Namaskar practices. This practice draws inspiration from a variety of traditional and contemporary Surya Namaskar styles. The term “Samavesha” has its roots in Sanskrit indicating a state of co-existence, absorption or applying together. This practice also exceeds physical postures and includes diverse communities. Therefore, “The Maha Samavesha Surya Namaskar” stands for the amalgamation of diverse traditional and modern practices into a unified Surya Namaskar. The creation of The Maha Samavesha Surya Namaskar became possible due to my years of diverse practices of Surya Namaskar. These includes daily performance of 108 rounds of Surya Namaskar for 11 years, high-altitude mountain performances of 108 rounds of Surya Namaskar for 9 years, community teaching of 108 rounds of Surya Namaskar for 8 years, and constant research and knowledge-building in Surya Namaskar practices.

If you're serious about nurturing meaningful communities, you should definitely take a look at the Community Weaving project from Fabian Pfortmüller and his collaborators. Among the elements of the Community Weaving framework that resonate with me are the following: - Community emerges from a shared purpose. - A community has a dynamic set of roles, including stewards (highly committed), members (actively participating), and friends (loosely connected). - Communities have a rhythm punctuated by rituals. - Engagement within a community is fractal. I'm particularly interested in the last point. How can we find ways to catalyze small-group conversations at scale within a larger community to cultivate deeper connections, increased trust, effective learning, and the benefits stemming from cognitive diversity? https://lnkd.in/gUtiHnmi

Recovery focused is something I greatly support when professionals try to understand the real nature of what led service users to get unwell in the first place and recognise a lot of them experienced inadequate support in the community due to the systematic failures prevailing throughout the existing services which requires a lot of improvement to be made as the main causes negatively affecting of people’s mental health rather than always blaming service users for becoming unwell and for instances causing offences in which they wouldn’t have done it if they are in their right state of mind. In other words this could have been prevented if the root causes of their problems could have been addressed at early stages and a lot attention is being paid how to solve such problems before it escalated to a total mental breakdown that lead a lot of service users end up in hospital and remain hostage of their terrible past where they are constantly interrogated of their past in hospitals which I believe is squeezing a wound and expecting a better result which is an approach far from recovery focused language and causing to remain hostage for their terrible past for the rest of their lives and stay hopeless forever!
