You know what legendary software developer doesn't get enough credit? Dwayne Richard Hipp the maker of SQLite. Imagine making a database on your own, now imagine that it's so successful that companies around the world fund your open source project because it's so useful. SQLite is trusted by companies and software developers over the whole world. It's so fault tolerant it won't lose any data even if the computer is turned off in the middle of an operation. And the best part... you don't need to set up a user, password, permissions, or get a certain port to open up. It just works on a file on your hard drive. https://lnkd.in/gGcWYv94

You can now view the recording for the Implementation & Scale-Up webinar, Where Can We Start? State and Local Strategies for Collecting and Using Data to Eliminate the Use of Exclusionary Discipline, in our Resource Library. In this webinar we explored a new tool being developed by the Center for IDEA Early Childhood Data Systems (DaSy Center), the National Center for Pyramid Model Innovations (NCPMI), and the Early Childhood Technical Assistance Center (ECTA) to help states, local early childhood programs, and families identify, collect, and use data to better understand exclusionary discipline practices and implement strategies to reduce use of those practices. https://lnkd.in/enrvFH45 #PyramidModel

It really does take a village… If you’ve been to any BIG event in the past or an event hosted by the Cross Government Black Women's Working Group you’ll know first hand how fun and engaging any event I have a hand in arranging is. Down to the tiny details every little thing is thought of. I’m really proud of the brand reputation I’ve been able to curate through these different initiatives. As I gear up to step down from my role as the Chair of BWWG it is really important to me to be able to maintain the momentum AND quality of event that BIG has come to be known for. I certainly don’t want to do it all alone forever and it’s important to incorporate fresh ideas and perspectives into what I hope to grow BIG to be. Putting together the right Voluntary advisory board to do this is really important to me. I need people who are not only passionate but also about that action! You do NOT need to identify as Black or Mixed heritage to be involved but you DO need to believe in the cause. As a minimum you can expect to have a 4-6 weekly meeting with me and hopefully the rest of the team (virtually) to check in on progress updates when we have things happening. The application form can be found here: https://lnkd.in/eabuWkYe but also if you have any questions feel free to drop down and get your eagle on in the comments OR pop a DM over and I’ll get back to you asap! - Chelcei #Advisoryboard #volunteering #publicservice #communitybuilding
