THANK YOUR DRIVERS! ?? I don't feel like making a typical LinkedIn post today—especially on a freezing Monday where it's literally -2 degrees—but I just want to put some perspective into everyone's day. On Friday, February 14th, I drove up to Madison, Wisconsin around 5:30 PM. What normally takes me just over two hours ended up taking 4 hours and 37 minutes due to a winter advisory I failed to consider when planning my trip. For about 117 miles, I drove at 35 MPH in heavy snowfall and slush, with no plow trucks in sight. Meanwhile, cars were stranded on the side of the highway, hazards flashing, and accidents. I couldn’t help but notice the truck drivers—still out there, moving freight, pushing through brutal conditions with extreme focus. It made me stop and think about the mental and physical toll it takes to navigate these roads safely. This job is not as easy as it seems, and all of us in the industry who are not directly driving the truck should keep that in the back of our minds. So, I just want to take a moment to say: THANK YOU to all the drivers on the road. You are the backbone of this country, and your work does not go unnoticed.
