#GGSF #GCOERC #GGSP #GGSPS_JrC We at Guru Gobind Singh Foundation, a charitable education trust run by Sikh community in Nashik had ocassion to celebrate Teachers' Day and Diwali Celebration together. Teachers' Day celebration were celebrated with a tad delay, but various academic activities had priority which is the most important task for any educational institution. During celebration, the teachers and other support staff who have been with The Foundation for last 15 years were felicitated. That included Mr. Khairnar (Baba for all of us, including The President, Sardar #Balbir_Singh_Chhabra) who is crucial in seemingly trifle job of getting all students to park vehicles properly, every day, all the days, without fail. The President delivered a very important speech on the occasion rather it was a great friendly chat with friends, particularly teachers. He never ever delivers a speech without preparing and this was no exception. However, he surprised all the listeners with his insights in human behaviour. He spoke of varieties people working for any organisation: 1. Involved People: These are the people who love their job, take the moral responsibility of what they do, they know what they do, if don't know it, find and learn ways to do it. These are the very strong pillars of organisation. 2. Engaged People: These are the people, who are duty-bound, they deliver what they HAVE TO. You can't fault them for anything as they are punctual and disciplined and highly guided by Rule Book. But they #HARDLY have their souls in the activities. 3. Disengaged People: These people are a category that seems to have been pushed into job. They remain aloof from the most of important activities of organisation and would do minimum possible, just to hang on to the job. It is always possible that organisation can function without them, but continue in the position for various legal, humanitarian and moral positions of the organisation. They are the beneficiaries who don't reciprocate. 4. Actively Disengaged: This is one category that borders on being toxic for organisation. They attempt to highlight negative points of the organisation. They typically refuse to be Solution of any Problem in the organisation, but if possible become part of the problem. If problem exists, they could very happily add fuel to the fire by engaging with #like_minded people, forming their informal group and finding excuses to avoid, refuse or proving uselessness of any task. Obviously these words from Sardar Balbir Singh Chhabra come from his extensive experience of running Right Right Fasteners Pvt Ltd as well as Guru Gobind Singh Foundation. While working for any organisation, be it manufacturing or service industry, one needs to evaluate him/herself and find her own locus. *** After the formal inauguration, program continued with festive performances by teachers of #GGSF. But the speech left deep imprint on the minds of audience. ?? Wishing you all a very happy Diwali!! ??

In an age of #materialism, we are all focused on #earning and #growing. But when I look at #BooksForAll and its #growth, the credit goes to the #volunteers. They’ve reversed the trend, dedicating themselves to supporting #education for the most #vulnerable #students.

What an amazing experience during our recently concluded 2nd Edition of 2 workshops, back-2-back! 21 participants, ranging from 16 to 60 years old, dared to reimagine participation and life skills that are meaningful. The two workshops, from Feb 27 to Mar 3, 2024, were 1. No Child’s Play - Reimagining Participation of Children, Adolescents, and Young People 2. Square Pegs, Round Holes - Reimagining Life Skills for Children, Adolescents, and Young People. The current development narrative often: ? reduces children, adolescents, and young people’s participation to mere tokenism. Their voices are rarely acknowledged, let alone truly valued or acted upon. ? narrows life skills education to employability skills. This disconnects young people from their communities and environment, fostering individual gain over collective well-being. Our workshops dared to ask: ? how can we move beyond performative participation and amplify the agency of children, adolescents, and young people? ? how can we redefine life skills education to foster critical thinking, community engagement, and values-driven action for a just and sustainable future? The participants represented a wide range of organisations - Atmashakti Trust Atul Foundation Caritas India Crisil foundation Deep Griha Society Family Planning Association of India Magic Bus India Foundation Pahal- Nurturing Lives Pukar Mumbai SOS Children's Villages of India Swasthya Swaraj UNICEF India Uninhibited Vacha Charitable Trust from across Assam, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. Facilitated by anju uppal and Prabir Bose.

National Highschool - Boys, Girls Toilets and Relaxation Room, Meenakera, Bidar District, Karnataka In the pursuit of empowering rural communities, the development of school infrastructure plays a vital role. Specifically, when it comes to constructing boy's and girl's toilets, we not only address the basic need for sanitation but also create an environment that promotes students' overall well-being. One aspect that deserves special attention is the relaxation room for adolescent girls. By providing a safe space where they can unwind and recharge, we contribute to their emotional and mental health. This initiative goes beyond mere infrastructure development; it fosters an atmosphere of support and understanding. When it comes to funding such projects, corporate social responsibility (CSR) plays a crucial role. #Powerschool sponsorship through CSR funds exemplifies their commitment to making a lasting impact on rural education. By investing in upgrading sanitation infrastructure, they are helping pave the way for better educational opportunities and improved hygiene practices. Together, through our collective efforts in rural school infrastructure development, we can create spaces that not only meet basic needs but also nurture growth and empower future generations. #SchoolTransformation #EducationRevitalized #SafeLearning #StudentWellbeing #InfrastructureUpgrade #AestheticsMatter #LearningEnvironment #CommunityImpact? #csrinitiative #csrindia #csractivities #csr #ruralindia #ruraldevelopment #kidslearning #ruraleducation #ruralareas #corporatesocialresponsibility ?#givingback #education #ministryofeducation, #PowerSchool, #Indiasudar Hardeep Gulati Apoorav Nischal Prakasam S Soundararajan Venkkataramani Sangeeta Panda #brighterdaysahead #washroomopening?#corporatesocialresponsibility #CSR Professionals India #SocialMediafornonprofit #PhilanthrophyNetwork #BangaloreHRCircle #SanitationForGirls?#EducationForAll?#HygieneFacilities? #CommunityDevelopment?#GirlsEducation?#wash?#SwachhBharat? #unicef?#CSRPartnership?#ProgressThroughInitiative #philanthropymatters #philanthropic #collaborations #corporatephilanthropy ?#socialsector

New Girls toilets construction One of the biggest infrastructure concerns is the lack of clean, functioning toilets. Government surveys have found that over 40% of rural schools in India do not have proper toilets. Where toilets do exist, they are often unsanitary or frequently non-functional due to poor maintenance and lack of running water. The toilet shortage disproportionately affects female students. Many girls skip school or drop out once they reach puberty due to the lack of private toilet facilities. This has a major negative impact on female literacy and educational attainment. ?? Be the Light That Changes Lives at SkillGarh ?? In the quiet village of Jalalpur, where opportunities are scarce and dreams often dim with the setting sun, we at SkillGarh Foundation are working tirelessly to bring light—both figuratively and literally—into the lives of underprivileged youth. But there’s a challenge. Frequent power outages mostly after 4 PM are disrupting the learning of students who rely on us for more than just computer skills. With your help, we’re raising funds to purchase an inverter that will ensure uninterrupted sessions, enabling our students to continue growing and learning. But your contributions will do more—they will also cover operational costs and provide assistance to the dedicated team who work behind the scenes, ensuring that SkillGarh can keep making an impact. Our students, aged 17-22, have faced obstacles that many of us can’t imagine. Yet, they come to SkillGarh every day, full of hope and determination to break free from the cycle of poverty. With your support, through our 4C Camp model—Counselling, Classes, Clubs, and Competitions—we’re guiding them toward brighter futures filled with skills, opportunities, and independence. But we can’t do it alone. Your donations will do more than just cover the cost of an inverter. They will help power the dreams of youth eager to rise above their circumstances, allow us to sustain operations, and support the people who make it all possible. Your little contribution can light up someone’s hope. It’s the light that will guide them to internships, jobs, and self-employment, giving them the chance to build the lives they deserve. Be the light that transforms a life. Your contribution today can make a world of difference tomorrow. You can refer to the following link to support us on Milaap, and learn more about our cause from here : ( https://bit.ly/3XHqJnK ) Donate now to power the dreams of the youth at SkillGarh Foundation.
