?? Thrilled to Announce! I've just wrapped up a comprehensive project on creating an HR dashboard using Power BI. This project has been an enriching experience, showcasing the power of data visualization and analytics in HR management. Here’s an overview of my journey and key takeaways: 1)Total Employees: The organization has a total of 1,470 employees. Among them, 682 are male, and 488 are female. 2)Promotion Status Only 4.90% of employees are due for promotion. A significant majority (95.10%) are not due for promotion. 3)Service Years: Most employees fall within the 0-5 years of service range. 4)New Recruits: There have been 117 recent hires. 5)Active Workers: There are 1,353 active workers. The attendance rate is high at 92.03%. 6)Job Levels: The distribution of employees across various job levels is not specified in the image. 7)Distance to Work: The pie chart shows the distance categories from the office. Approximately 60% of employees live within a reasonable distance, while 40% live farther away. 8)Job Satisfaction: The bar graph indicates that most employees have high job satisfaction. A smaller percentage may have low job satisfaction. 9)Overtime Percentage: The widget doesn’t provide specific values, but it’s likely showing the proportion of employees working overtime. 10)Performance Ratings: The “High rating” and “Low rating” percentages are not explicitly mentioned. However, the graph suggests that a significant portion of employees receive high ratings. 11)Job Titles: The pie chart displays the distribution of job titles. The top five job titles are: Sales Executive (326 employees) Research Scientist (292 employees) Laboratory Technician (249 employees) Manufacturing Director (115 employees) HealthCare Representative (83 employees) POWERBI DASHBOARD LINK: https://lnkd.in/g6AxURVP I'm immensely grateful for this opportunity to enhance my skills in Power BI and Data Analytics. Looking forward to applying these insights to drive efficiency and innovation in HR management. #HRDashboard #PowerBI #DataAnalytics #HRTech #CareerGrowth #DataVisualization #HRMetrics #WorkforceManagement #Excel #ETL

In Human Resources, you don't need "fancy" people analytics. You first need to have an HR reporting function that is performing well. When it comes to data, it is important to have the following areas delivering monthly updates to key stakeholders, org leaders, and HRBPs: - Headcount analysis (how many employees, in which departments/locations; filters, delta/trends from the previous month); - Termination analysis (how many employees left, turnover/attrition rate, etc); - New Hire analysis (how many new hires, who is a replacement, who is a new hire, sources of hires, etc); This is something doable just by extracting raw data from whatever system you are using, and it can be done in less than 4 hours in Excel (including charts, trends, and nice visualizations). That's why I am building the ExcelforHR.com course - subscribe to the mailing list for updates.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been diving deep into the world of data-driven insights with two key projects that have sharpened my analytical skills and broadened my understanding of HR metrics and career development pathways. ?? HR Analysis: This project allowed me to explore key HR metrics, focusing on employee retention, turnover rates, and performance analytics. Using advanced tools and data visualization techniques, I uncovered actionable insights that can drive strategic HR decisions and improve organizational outcomes. ?? Career Development Analysis Dashboard: In this project, I developed a Power BI dashboard that tracks critical metrics like average years in the company, time in the current role, and promotion trends. This tool is designed to provide a clear picture of career progression and help identify opportunities for professional growth within organizations. Both of these projects have reinforced my passion for data analysis and its powerful impact on making informed decisions that benefit both employees and organizations. The point of analysis is not to prove that you are smart. The point of analysis is to derive insights that tell you what is needed to improve the business. Using fancy statistical terms doesn't help anybody. Keep them in the back pocket if needed, but the goal is to be as clear and straightforward as possible. #peopleanalytics #dsu #python #sql #r #dataskillup
?? Breaking Down the Numbers: How to Talk Data with Your HR Team One question we get asked a lot during our data analysis course: How do you make your data analysis make sense for a less technical HR team? Here are some tips to make your insights HR-friendly: 1?? Speak plain English – Avoid the stats and data terminology. Instead of saying “statistically significant relationship between employee satisfaction and retention” try “Happy employees stick around longer. Here’s the proof.” 2?? Focus on impact, not the technical details – HR doesn’t need p-values, they need actionable recommendations! 3?? Key takeaways only – Stick to your top 3 insights. No more, no less. 4?? Good Simple Visuals = Instant Clarity – Use simple visuals like bar charts or line graphs. Be sure to add a one-liner explanation for each. 5?? Tell a Story, Not a Stat – Use the Problem ?? Evidence ?? Solution framework to present your findings. 6?? Tie your insights to actual people/teams and outcomes within your organization. This makes your insights tangible and shows how they directly impact business objectives. 7?? Encourage Questions – Create a dialogue. Make it comfortable for the team to ask questions and clarify insights. Remember, we’re not turning HR into data scientists – we’re empowering them to make informed decisions. Speak their language, and watch your insights drive real change! ?? ??
