Looking at the criteria for selection it is not what I expected for a list of the best healthcare organizations. The criteria are about employee satisfaction, or perhaps employee engagement. I was expecting the rankings to evaluate quality, safety, outcomes, and similar criteria in addition to employee connection to purpose/mission of the organizations. Perhaps LinkedIn selected good companies to work for, not good healthcare companies.
Today we unveil the 2024 Top Companies in Healthcare, a data-backed ranking of the best workplaces to grow a career in the healthcare industry. Traditional healthcare giants like UnitedHealth Group (No. 1), Moderna (No. 2), Elevance Health (No. 3), Eli Lilly and Company (No. 4) and Bristol Myers Squibb (No. 5) snagged spots in the top five. Moderna, which saw a huge increase in hiring over the last year as it expanded its workforce on the West Coast, is new to the U.S. rankings this year. The list is based on unique LinkedIn data, evaluating companies based on eight different elements of career progression.
