Challenges confront leaders daily. Some are tougher than others. During hard times, empathy and respect can be lifelines. As we each navigate the complexities of our journeys, let's remember to offer understanding and kindness to ourselves and others. The month of May brought us some amazing insight from so many during Behavioral Health Awareness Month. Let's continue into this year with the commitment to learn, grow, and cultivate empathy as a cornerstone of support; fostering environments where your team feels valued and understood. The things we have been through are part of our story. Embrace them and choose to grow daily.

Mental health services continue to be a critical need for community members in the valley. ?? Although people are aware of this, they aren't aware of where they can go for preventative services like when they're not in crisis or to improve their mental fitness. In early 2024, Headquarters | Your Path to Mental Fitness convened leaders in the mental health space to form the Behavioral Health Leadership Group. This group's goal is to improve access to mental health resources and support by bringing together stakeholders to explore what might be possible through collaboration and connectivity. These leaders are working on ways to remove barriers to receiving services, like creating a shared language and launching a marketing strategy to raise awareness about available resources. My Inbox: As a Leadership Mental Health Advocate... BUT why don't we see or hear these conversations in networking halls, business dinners and board rooms? That's why I'm determined to break the stigma. ID: Picture shows an inbox message that reads "Just received this: "Behind that success was a journey filled with personal battles, leadership struggles, and moments where I nearly lost everything, including myself. From suicide attempts to leading a team through rapid growth and disruption, I’ve learned first-hand how brutal but rewarding the leadership path can be." #Leadership #MentalWellbeing #WorkplaceWellbeing

What does leadership look like in today’s corporate world and our communities? To me, it’s evolving rapidly, demanding a new level of vulnerability, awareness, empathy, and courage. As we transition into Fall, I’m excited to announce that I’m adding more speaking engagements to my schedule. These talks will focus on creating safe spaces in businesses, communities, and within ourselves. One of the key topics I’ll be discussing is Courageous Conversations: Transforming Mental Health through Vulnerability and Connection. Let’s embrace this new era of leadership together by fostering environments where everyone feels safe to express themselves and where authentic connections can flourish. #Leadership #MentalHealth #Empathy #Vulnerability #CourageousConversations #SafeSpaces
