We've reached the difficult decision to shut down ProDrops.
Even though we’ve built an amazing product and were on the right track to finding product-market fit, we felt that, given the current market conditions (which place a higher focus on early revenues over engagement KPIs), we wouldn't be able to meet market expectations for early-stage gaming startups.
On a personal note, this was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make, but it was the most responsible choice we could take at this time.
Although it's unfortunate and sad, I couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve achieved. We built an amazing product that truly made a difference and brightened people’s days. That’s exactly what we set out to do when we started.
Founding and leading ProDrops was the greatest adventure I’ve ever taken on. I’ve learned so much over the past 3.5 years.
From fundraising, building a team, defining company vision, and business development to performance marketing, game economy, product strategy, and many other fields—each posed a unique challenge that forced me to make tough decisions and become a better leader.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank a few people who played a meaningful part in our journey:
First and foremost, I’d like to thank my incredible co-founder (and my “work-wife”), Ido Perach, for believing, supporting, pushing, and being the most amazing partner I could have asked for on this crazy ride.
To our dear investors from the Playtika family, especially Lior K., Thomas Kulcsar, and Ziv Levavi: thank you for believing in us, advising on tough decisions, mentoring, directing, and helping us become better founders and leaders to our team.
To our team members: without your commitment and deep passion to create a REAL impact on this industry that we all love, we would never have reached half of the amazing product we’ve built. You should all be proud of what we’ve achieved together - keep your heads up. Thank you for your dedication, for the laughs, and for the experiences.
Uri Marchand, Avner Florenthal, and the rest of the Overwolf team: thank you for staying true to your "support main" values, and for providing meaningful insights, advice, and assistance.
To Arnon Samburski and Aliza Weiss: thank you for helping us navigate the legal landscape of the startup world, and gaming specifically. Your advice and hard work over the past 2.5 years have been invaluable.
To Ran Keidar: thank you for being there for any question or dilemma we’ve had and for giving us peace of mind regarding the financial side of running the business.
A special thanks to Adi Dagan, Yossi Melamed, Uri Gafni, Max C. Reuveni (Adv.) and all the rest of our advisors and mentors over the years.
It’s been an honor serving as the CEO of ProDrops. Even though I’m not quite sure what will come next, I just hope it will be even half as fulfilling, challenging, and exciting as this journey has been.
On to the next challenge!
After 3.5 incredible years, It is with a heavy heart that we announce that ProDrops will be shutting down.
We would like to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to our investors, dedicated employees, loyal customers, and advisors.
Together, we have built game-changing immersive experiences for our users, and we are proud of the impact we’ve made in the industry.
During this transition, we are committed to supporting our team members and fulfilling any outstanding obligations to our partners.
We will tag our incredible team members who are searching for their next challenge!
Thank you once again for being a part of our journey. Though this chapter is closing, we are confident that the connections we’ve made and the achievements we’ve shared will live on in the future.
