?? #Spamagedden #SEOTip Want to know how you make sure your never get hit by an algorithm designed to remove AI content from Google Search? #HireGoodWriters I see so many people trying to twist AI into something that might not get manual actioned - how about just hire people to write your content ??♀? Instead of trying to manipulate AI, just hire good people to create great authentic content. I mean you did it this way for the past 20 plus years anyway.

Interested in seeing some data PROVING that AI-generated content performs worse than human-created content? Neil Patel posted an interesting chart on X/Twitter. In the experiment, they created 744 articles over 68 different websites. Each site posted AI and human-written content. The results speak for themselves. Google recently made an algorithm change to decrease how often it shows "low-quality content" in search results. The results would be even more dramatic if this experiment was rerun today. One caveat... we don't know the quality level of the AI-generated content. Just like there are varying levels of quality with human-created content, there are varying levels of quality with content created by AI (depending on how it's prompted, how many prompts are used, etc.). This shouldn't be looked at as a silver bullet, but it's a useful data point that confirms what a lot of us have been suspecting... that AI content can't possibly be performing very well.

I'm not surprised at all that human content is massively outperforming AI content in writing, and I think you can see the same thing foreshadowed for video in the recent Sora demo films that have been going around (https://lnkd.in/geftmFGX). Visually, they're pretty impressive, as long as you don't pay too much attention to the details. But there's no real content or story to keep your attention. Almost all of them trade in what is basically a party trick: realistic-looking surrealism. That's novel, but when you look beyond the novelty, it's just B-roll shots. Reels of stock footage from some alternate reality. When this tech is available publicly and anyone can generate this kind of surrealist imagery, the novelty is going to wear off very quickly. For the moment, at least, it seems like the problem for any kind of content creator is still: how can I tell an authentic story that makes some kind of genuine connection with the audience? AI can certainly be a tool that helps with that, in both video and written forms, and the Sora demos show great potential in some interesting ways I won't get into here. But I've seen no evidence yet that AI is capable of creating anything particularly compelling on its own.
